Yummy and mushy Pazham Pori
The Malayalees' all-time favourite snack is pazham pori. It is also known as "ethakka appam." Without any cooking experience, you can easily prepare it as a snack. It can be made quickly with only a few ingredients. Usually it is made with all purpose flour, at times it is made with atta flour instead of all-purpose flour. Ingredients:
3 ripe plantains
1 cup of all purpose flour
1 tablespoon of rice flour
1 tablespoon sugar
A pinch of turmeric powder
¾ - cup of water
Salt - required as per taste.

Method :
Peel the plantains and cut them into thin slices
In a bowl, mix together:
All-purpose flour
Rice flour
Sugar
Turmeric powder
Salt
Add ¾ cup of water to the bowl and mix everything to form a batter
Dip each plantain slice in the batter to evenly coat it
Heat oil in a deep bottom pan until it is hot
Deep fry the batter-coated plantain slices until they are golden brown, flipping them occasionally
Remove the fried plantains from the pan and drain the excess oil using a paper towel
Serve the Pazham Pori hot with a cup of tea
Note:
Instead of using all-purpose flour and rice flour, you can use a gluten-free flour blend to make the dish gluten-free. Additionally, you can also add some spices, such as cumin powder, coriander powder, or chilli powder, to the batter to give it an extra kick of flavor.
